Sample Project: Wind

CSNW assisted Oregon’s first community-scale (3 MW) wind farm to successfully develop and market a 15-year strip of RECs. Beginning in early 2011, these RECs should bring the project owner approximately $1.3 million in revenue, covering roughly 25% of overall project costs. Significantly, this guaranteed revenue stream may play an important role in securing commercial financing needed to cover about 10% of the cost of project implementation.
